On the BBC World Service this morning, they have reported that 95 out of 160 children that had been shot in Gaza were shot in the head or chest.
It’s a very upsetting report but details the heartbreaking reality for children in Gaza.
One story talks about a family who were out walking and heard a single gun shot. The father looked around and saw that his six year old daughter had been shot in the back of the chest.
Another story discusses a four year old girl who was playing outside of her tent when a single bullet was shot at her head. Miraculously she survived but she was one of the few lucky ones.
I know the bbc has a lot to answer for in terms of unbalanced reporting of Gaza. But the world service (funded separately from BBC proper) are one of the only outlets who are working directly with people in Gaza to tell the world about the atrocities occurring there.
It’s a heartbreaking reality but I think it’s important to know the truth.
