Kim Cattrall Shares Cryptic Message as ‘And Just Like That’ Ends

Kim Catrell is speaking out. Hours after Sex in the City creator Michael Patrick King announced that and just like that, the sequel series of the beloved HBO show would be ending after its current third season. The actress shares a cryptic message on Instagram August 1st. Posting a picture of a sunset overlooking a body of water, Kim writes alongside a series of emojis, “It’s the end of a very long week.” And just like that premiered in 2021, more than 17 years after Sex in the City went off the air. And out of the series four main leads, Kim was the only star who opted not to return. She told Variety back in 2022, it’s a great wisdom to know when enough is enough. And while the actress did repraise her role as Samantha Jones for a cameo in the season 2 finale, it was a one-off thing. Telling today in 2023, “This is as far as I’m going to go.” But Kim isn’t the only Sex in the City alum to speak out amid the news. Her former castmate Sarah Jessica Parker, who stars in The Revival alongside Cynthia Nixon and Kristen Davis, took a moment to reflect on her iconic character’s legacy. In a long Instagram post next to a super cut of her time on both series, Sarah narrated in part, “Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all. I know others have loved her just as I have been frustrated, condemned, and rooted for her. The symphony of all those emotions has been the greatest soundtrack and most consequential companion, therefore the most sentimental and profound gratitude and lifetime of debt to you all. [Music]

    1. It is ending because the producer and everyone ruined the show with woke propaganda… it was unbearable to watch …
They all were pathetic and it was a sick push … we are tired of this crap …

    2. 1:42 Carrie Bradshaw was a character SJP played. This is so over the top. You should have left while you were on top, like Seinfeld did. No need to double down, girl.

    3. Seems like Kim meant something was done that took a long week to finish. I believe she filmed something for the last episode. If that's even possible. But regardless I think One last movie can happen in a few years. That will be real conclusion in my opinion.

    4. They totally destroyed miranda. Cynthia made it too much like herself, and that was the problem. And well..carrie actually regressed. She learned the lessons, had a happy ending with a man she truly loved and then went back to 1998 while in 2025. No! ..charlotte was the only character that was still true to herself
