      i just have a feeling (fully uninformed by anything) that sydney’s PR team is panicking because of this.

      i just feel like the controversy or the jeans/genes as was something they could easily ignore because that was definitely a mostly online convo but having trump come out with his full support of you/your client+confirming who you voted for doesn’t really give companies/directors any wiggle room if they don’t want to upset consumer bases.

      then again it could also totally boost her career and i could totally be wrong 🤷‍♀️ i hope im not though because celebrities and brands need to learn we’re done putting up with their bad morals just to make them money.

      On one hand, I kinda feel bad for Sweeney. She did not ask to be thrust into the center of the culture war, and now she is fucked. If she makes some mealy mouthed “I love everyone” statement, the right wing psychos will turn on her like a pack of hyenas.

      On the other hand, what did she expect? Did she really think that she could just skate by and have a normal Hollywood career as a “quiet Republican”?

      Is there some downside to Sydney registering as a Republican in Florida? Florida is a solid red state, with a closed primary. If she wants to have a say in her state government, she would have to register as an R, as the primary for the Governor seat is more important than the general election. Here in Philly, many Republicans register as Democrats for a similar reason.

      Now, if they found political donations, that would be some shit.
