Erik Menendez Returns to Prison After Undergoing Surgery | E! News
Eric Mendez is in recovery after being temporarily transferred to a California hospital for a kidney stones procedure. The 54year-old has returned to prison ahead of his and brother Lyall Mendez’s parole hearing August 21st. Eric’s stepdaughter Talia Mendez, daughter to his wife Tammy Mendez, wrote in an Instagram story August 3rd, preparing for her upcoming parole hearing. And Talia’s update comes over a week after she first shared her father was undergoing several surgeries to address his kidney stones issue. In a July 23rd story, she writes, “Today, Eric had his second surgery due to complications with both kidneys having multiple large stones. Thankfully, his surgery was successful, though he will need a third surgery soon.” And Eric’s trip to the hospital comes after his lawyer, Mark Aragos, argued for his immediate release from prison amid his serious medical condition. Mark told TMZ in a July 22nd interview, “I’m not going to violate HIPPA or attorney client or anything else, but if there was ever anybody who should be furled, especially right now, a month before the hearing, it’s Eric. He needs, I think, to be out and focus on the hearing.
