Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne on the new season of ‘Platonic’ | Today Show Australia

it for us. Take it away. Certainly do. Thank you very much. Well, we first fell in love with them together in the movie Neighbors and now Seth Rogan and Rose Burn are back as everyone’s favorite best friends in Platonic. Now, in the new season, Will and Sylvia navigate the ups and downs of life from career shifts to relationship dramas while trying to keep their unique bond intact. I sat down with Seth and Rose in Los Angeles to chat about season two of Platonic. I think I feel intimidated by your friendship with Sylvia. How are you going to move this bad boy? You get the front, I’ll get the back. That’s what she said. Booyah. You should have seen how far you flew. It was incredible. Hey, it’s great to see you guys. I must must congratulate you, mate. This studio, you must be on cloud nine with everything. I’m very happy. Very stressed out, but thank you. And working with an Australian national treasure. Very happy. Very stressed out. So, who said it wouldn’t last? You know, you crazy kids back together. What’s What’s the glue that keeps Will and Sew together? Um, I mean, they really It’s like they’re like family, I think. You know, um, sibling relationship almost. Yeah. And I think they bring out their true selves in one for better or worse. For better or worse. If we want to stay friends this time, then we’re going to have to do normal adult stuff like couples dinners and stuff like that. Fine. Couples dinners on. So, what about this guy? Tell me about working with him. Listen, listen. At this point, uh, I feel really lucky. You know, Seth and I, you know, we did these neighbors movies together. It was like, oh, we have like a fun time. This works. This is like And then to be able to reinvent it on a show. It doesn’t was not lost on me. I feel very grateful. Um, he I just try to be as funny as him. I try to keep up. One of the secrets of the success of the show, I think, is weaving real life stuff in there because because there are some real touchstone moments. You you got kids. I mean, you I agree. Tell me about all of that. I we always say it’s very relatable. The show is about dayto-day essentially and like whether you’re, you know, in the trenches of raising small kids and trying to maintain old friendships or whether you’re, you know, sort of hanging on to your youth like we I have friends like that who haven’t really grown up or living someone living in the back house. in your garage. Yeah, there’s all they’re all stories from real life and I think that’s the delight of the show. It has a very light touch. I’m trying to get my life back together. What should I do? Well, I’ll say the wrong thing and mess up your life again. You don’t mess up my life. Okay, you’ll make my life better. Your wardrobe has become a sort of a feature in its own right. It is. Yes. Talk me through that. Obviously, your own choices. sort of had a vision that my guy should dress a little ridiculous and and really sort of be flashy and and um kind of cling to his youth and and wear a lot of brands that are sort of associated with people in their 20s basically. Um and uh and yeah, and and what’s sad is I see a lot of men in their mid-40s dressed a lot like my character on the show. Many of them with mullets and beach blonde hair and they come up to me and they’re like, “Hey, big fan.” And I’m like, I bet you are. How do I get that? Uh, I only eat chicken. Oh, I only eat pizza. Right. Season two. It must be a good feeling when you you get the call or whatever. Yeah, always. Of course. Oh, it’s lovely. You never know these days. I don’t think I’ve ever done the second season of a television show in my life. And so, it’s it’s a real treat. Yeah. Season three, Down Under. Platonic Down Under. I’m ready. Sign me up. Exactly. Thank you, Josh. I would love that. Thank you so much. Great to see you. Got this, son. I know you do. Look out. Great together, aren’t they? Season two of Platonic out on Wednesday on Apple TV Plus.
