Where Jack Osbourne, Aimee Osbourne Stood Before Ozzy Osbourne’s Death | E! News

We don’t have a great relationship. Jack Osborne recently shared an update on where he and his sister Amy stand weeks before their father Ozie Osborne’s death. Before the siblings, along with middle sister Kelly Osborne and mom Sharon Osborne put on a united front at their dad Ozie Osborne’s funeral July 31st, the 39-year-old shared that he and his eldest sibling are mostly aranged. Jack explained in a July 16th episode of the Disrespectfully Podcast, “We’re not close at all. like we don’t we don’t have a great relationship. Um, she’ll be the first to tell you that, so it’s no secret. Amy famously did not participate in the family’s hugely successful MTV reality series, The Osbornes, back in the day, but Jack clarified that wasn’t because of any family turmoil at the time. back then she really wanted to be a musician and she the kind of musician she wanted to be was like a Fiona Apple like Mazy Star like this kind of you know obscure mysterious you know moody um and she she deemed doing a show on MTV as like lowhanging fruit and she was like I’m not that’s I’m not going to write you know I’m not going to be seen like writing coattails kind of like that’s how she perceived it. Um, and then once the show was hugely successful, I think she was she was kind of like, well, I can’t I can’t now come on because I don’t want to be seen even more as jumping on the bandwagon, right? And so, she just kind of like dug her heels in and, you know, and wanted to be relatively private and obscure. Amy, who creates music under the moniker Arrow, has said that her desire for privacy kept her from starring alongside her family in The Osbor, later admitting she wasn’t happy her family continued with the endeavor without her. She told the Independent back in 2015, “It didn’t matter what I thought ultimately. This was their path, their decision, and they were, of course, at liberty to take the opportunity, which they did.” She also told the outlet that while there was an acceptance between her and her younger siblings, they didn’t have a relationship. Kelly, for her part, also echoed the sentiment, saying of Amy during a past appearance on Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, “We’re just really different. She doesn’t understand me, and I don’t understand her. [Music]
