Hunter Schafer’s former friend explains why their friendship ended: after experiencing racism from someone in their shared friend group, Hunter chose to distance herself from the victim rather than the person who was racist, opting to remain friends with the latter.

    1. A lot of people love the idea of not being racist but they don’t want to do the actual work of not being racist.

Ah that explains why she’s friends with Sydney Sweenie. And why Zendaya has zero minutes to pay any of them.

I’ve listened twice and I still don’t understand what actually happened that was upsetting. That seems like a crucial detail to leave out..

When a person shows you who they are believe them.

Well this is disappointment. You’d think people who are minorities would uplift each other, not cling on to others who prefer to tear them down. I know it happens and it shouldn’t be a surprise, but I thought better of Hunter.

    6. She hasn’t said anything about Sydney “maga”. Sweeney, so this isn’t surprising (especially glaring, considering how vocal she has been otherwise). Still dissapointing though.

    7. Not surprising. Hunter is still very privileged and probably has trouble acknowledging the pain of racism.
