Listen: there’s not a single major company you can support that isn’t giving money to a bunch of absolutely fucked up shit. I’m not saying you shouldn’t do what you can to avoid supporting them, but there’s no ethical consumption under capitalism and it’s not worth trying to act superior because you don’t give money to one particular company.
Like what are the alternatives to Apple if you want to have a smartphone? Android? Because then you’re supporting Google. If you don’t have Apple Music, then what are you using? Spotify?
Just saying, we know all these companies fucking suck. Don’t be surprised by this kind of thing and don’t fool yourself into thinking that any other major corporation is better.
As someone with a vast media library on Apple this hurts mightily. You don’t look for ethics from huge tech companies, but you hope there’s something there. Turns out there’s nothing.
The same company that slows down our phones whenever a new one gets released? Or the one that stopped giving headphones with the phone to increase Airpods sales?
Is anyone really that surprised, I mean Apple’s been fucking over the average person for so long, i.e.
Right to repair which they actively pushed against, their new phones still being un-repairable, and all the green washing.
Not to mention the constant labor violations and horrid conditions of their factories in China, there’s a hell of a lot to unpack there.
Yeah they’re going to bow, no pushback, since they never had any spine to begin with.
This was theater designed to appease a narcissist who has been threatening to target Apple specifically.
Just a reminder they voted to keep their DEI policies and haven’t caved on anything that matters.

It fucking sucks to be stuck using devices and services by these companies and it’s so inescapable. Even if you boycott Amazon their AWS (Amazon web service) is used almost everywhere.
