I mean I get it. But also, sucks for the people who booked hotel rooms and flight and I wish that would be acknowledged. The tickets are not the only cost. This is a residency in Vegas. This is not a touring show. Most people are traveling to be there.
ETA. You all are crazy. I never said she shouldn’t cancel nor was I mom shaming. I said some acknowledgement that the cost to her fans is more than just the tickets to the show.
I get this sucks for everyone who wanted or had reservations to go, it sincerely does.
But, considering how rough her divorce was and how dirty he did her during and after, the fact she is doing this for her kids speaks volumes of her character imho. She has plenty of money to have someone go with the kids to see him or be an intermediary but she is putting her kids during this (what must be extremely) difficult time. I seriously doubt this is anything short of a very serious situation.
Kudos to her.

Likely the reason for her absence from the talk show as well. If her kids dad has been ill for over a year, then it’s likely serious, and her kids are probably really going through it emotionally
Knowing how poorly this man treated her, this must have been a rough decision for her. She seems like a good hearted person. Their poor kids 😕
…I’m sorry, but her statement about usually trying to keep her personal life private is a lie. She was very talkative about her divorce. She wrote an album about it. I’m not judging her decision here, but don’t say you are a private person when you literally write bangers about the folks who’ve wronged you.
