Macaulay Culkin Sets the Record Straight on Home Alone Rumors | E! News

I get changed and I walk out and there’s this guy Larry uh dressed exactly like me. Micole Kulkin confirming a longtime story surrounding his Christmas classic. The 44year-old setting the record straight on the August 7th Hot Ones with Shawn Evans referencing the long-standing rumor in between bites. Drew that your stunt double was a very short 30-year-old man. Yeah. His name was Larry. Um and like oh hey Larry, how you doing? And uh um he goes uh hey I’m I’m doing good. Hey I’m Larry Sty. And he kind of like looks at me and goes how old do you think are you? And I go that’s a loaded question. I know he’s much older than me cuz I was nine so I was loaded. I go 13 much older than me. And he goes he thought that was funny. But goalie’s misunderstanding finding its way to the set as the stun actor went to work on one of the movies many memorable moments. I remember my favorite like my memory of Larry. He’s climbing the shelf. He’s climbing the shelf trying to reach that thing on the top and the whole shelf collapsed. It was vicious that first take. It was vicious. And then um they do it again and there’s another take and just boom. And they didn’t like the way everything felt. And they do it again. I’m going please take it easy on Larry. He’s only 13 years old. Mac also shared he can take credit for at least one of Kevin Mallister’s quotable lines. So, yeah. Is it true that you improvise the line, “You guys give up? Are you thirsty for more?” No. No. Not Not that one. When I was at the grocery store, it’s like, “We’re your parents.” This, that. Where do you live? Uh, I can’t tell you that. Why not? Cuz you’re a stranger. That That one was mine. So, I did a lot of that kind of stuff. It’s like, “Oh, again, if you let me off the leash, yeah, sure.” You know, I like to dork around like, you know, Yeah. But, um, but yeah. Yeah. You know, I I I I did what I was told. Like a good little boy. [Music]

Macaulay Culkin addressed longstanding behind-the-scenes rumors about the making of ‘Home Alone.’ The 44-year-old actor—who played pint-size vigilante Kevin McAllister in the original 1990 movie and its sequel, ‘Home Alone 2: Lost in New York’—also revealed which iconic quote he improvised on the set.
