There is never a dull moment when it comes to the life of the royal family.
Whether it’s a surprise birthday post from Meghan Markle that features Prince Harry or striking images of King Charles at his events, there are always plenty of memorable moments and pictures that instantly cause a conversation. The latest example of this is Princess Anne’s appearance at the Dublin Horse Show, which was posted on the official Buckingham Palace Instagram account on August 7. While her attendance drew a lot of excitement amongst fans, it was her striking portrait that stole the show—and the sleek blue bag she carried on her shoulder that provided an ultra-relatable moment.
The beautiful image can be seen in the first slide above. And as you scroll through, you’ll notice she kept her purse on…the entire time. (Royals, they’re just like us.) The move certainly made her seem much more relatable and down to earth.
The post was captioned, “The Princess Royal has attended the official opening day of the 150th Dublin Horse Show at the Royal Dublin Society! The Dublin Horse Show brings together some of the top horses from around Ireland and the world, through competitions such as the best show horses and the best international show jumpers. During the visit, Her Royal Highness toured a special exhibition on the history of the Horse Show and met representatives from Festina Lenté, a Bray-based charity which offers equine-assisted learning and therapy services. The Princess also met members of the Riding for the Disabled Association Ireland.”

Coordinating her bag with a mint green blazer, a silk scarf and a dark green satin skirt, the princess’s glowing appearance (and her respective charitable efforts) didn’t go unnoticed. “She looks fabulous!” wrote one commenter, with another chiming in, “I absolutely love Princess Royal. Moved with the times while keeping the Royal Family relevant and grounded. Hard working, very much like her mum.”

Princess Anne’s time at the Dublin Horse Show was reminiscent of the one-day visit to Gallipoli, Turkey, earlier this year, where she was seen rocking a pair of sporty, almost futuristic-looking sunglasses from Adidas that definitely brought forth the Y2K vibes.
The princess may not be publicly photographed as often as other members of the royal family, but when she is, she always makes a statement.
