I’m not gonna pretend I know anything about photography lol but this feels off?? like it was shot on an iphone

Not that I want to be there but are Black men not allowed to be her “friend”? It just seems very… deliberate.

    3. Someone please tell her that there’s a lot of space to explore between being an actual dog and being painfully boring.

The album promo has been very male-centered so far. Let’s see if it is as subversive as her fans hope it will be…

I feel like with a title like that her sitting Bond villain style looking campy and glam in a fancy chair with a little fluffy white dog with diamond collar and bow would’ve been cute.

This looks so basic, almost like a bad frame from Gatsby (the movie). At least the movie esthetics and cinematography was interesting and fresh! But this.. and the other 15 covers… not all that

Why bother having like eight different covers if they’re all so boring?

I think it’s silly in general to have multiple album covers, but I could understand it if you had several that were really cool and you wanted to use them all, or if there were some cohesive vision that you wanted to express with them. But all of these covers have felt like she just took a new photo and thought, “That’s cool, let’s make that one a cover too.”

    8. I really don’t care for it at all. Nothing about it feels like an album cover. It’s also far too cluttered and white.

    9. No shade to those male models, but they all look a little too young and smooth for the effect she seems to be going for.

    10. Do people not realize these are references to classic movie stars like Jayne Mansfield, and (I think) it’s supposed to be subversive? Or do they realize but just think it’s badly done?

I didn’t like the cover with her as a dog on a leash because yes, it’s referencing misogynistic 60s/70s porn and I didn’t think the subversiveness quite worked. But I also read a lot of comments here implying she’s referencing Gossip Girl or something and I’m just like, either I’m just extremely old (I’m early 40s) or a lot of people online aren’t media literate, or maybe some combination of the two?

I’m not trying to be snarky, I’m genuinely asking – am I missing something?
