Princess Anne Debuts New Hair for First Time in 50 Years

Princess Anne is switching up her iconic look. In a royal portrait released ahead of her 75th birthday, King Charles III’s sister poses alongside her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Lawrence. But instead of having her hair styled in her signature buff, which she’s rocked for the past five decades, she trades in the look for an elegant Shinan. Along with the subtle change in hairstyle, the royal also wears a stunning ivory gown with lace detailing on the botus as well as a cropped jacket and her diamond tiara. Meanwhile, Sir Tim sports a black tuxedo with red cuffs, as well as several medals of honor pinned to his chest. The portrait of Princess Anne and Sir Tim was taken moments before the state banquet at Windsor Castle last month where she first debuted the twisted bun updo. and asked why Anne often opts for a buffon hairstyle. Well, she says it’s quick, explaining during the 2020 documentary Princess Royal Ann at 70, I read an article the other day about Netflix in the Crown. But the actress was talking about how long it took them to do their hair like I did, and I’m thinking hours. How could you possibly take that long? I mean, it takes me 10 or 15 minutes. [Music]

    1. That doesn't look new, I don't see a change. I wish she'd do a bouncy bob that ends at chin length and frames her face. This is still an old lady look. Just because you're senior doesn't mean you have to go out of your way to look senior. I'd also dye the gray, it's not working for her.
