After nearly 17 years sober, Eminem’s getting candid about his past struggles surrounding addiction and landing in the ER after an overdose. The revelations coming inside stands, a documentary covering the rapper’s rise from Detroit Freestyler to Grammyinning artist. M saying his addiction to prescription pills began around 1999 with his 2007 overdose inspiring his sobriety. quote, “I woke up in the hospital and I didn’t know what happened.” A literal wakeup call made him realize, “I’m going to die if I don’t do anything.” The rapper’s rock bottom arrived after missing one of daughter Haley’s birthday parties. Quote, “I realized I’m never doing this again. I started treating sobriety like a superpower, and I took pride in the fact that I was able to quit.” Years later, Eminem celebrating the doc’s debut with an onthe-me special appearance, reuniting with his stand music videos onscreen surrogate at a premiere party. Eminem is one of the few celebrities who is very lucky to be alive as he really showed stability being able fight to his demons by overcoming his addiction. I remember when I heard the news hearing about it when he came back in 2009 releasing his album Relapse and I’m glad he’s taken full control of his well being to live a healthy life.
It wasn’t a birthday party it was actually Hailie’s first Guitar recital and the Documentary Stans is Awesome saw it last night.

No the pills started for sleep doing 8 mile 2002. 2001-2003 he was on probation for gun possession so he was tested regular so he had to be clean.
