I worked at a company that sold merch many years ago but I doubt things have changed all that much so I’m pretty sure I’ll be accurate in saying that most companies order very limited runs in sizes outside of S-XL. For every 10-20 mediums in an order, you may only order 1 XXL let alone 1 -3XL. So calling out that her bigger sizes ran out the fastest is not only fucking insulting on its face, it’s also size gaslighting in a really sinister way.

Just from a business standpoint – if that size sold out first, there’s clearly a major demand. I’d produce more of them and do what I could to support that consumer base. That just seems like common sense to me? Am I missing something? Why would you insult them when you clearly have a market there?

This isn’t funny and it’s sad to see how many people are defending her under the guise it’s a joke.

Why does she sound so pissed that her fans have bought her product?
Lucky for her, it probably won’t happen so quickly next time.

What gets me is that she could have easily noticed the trend of plus size’s selling out and gotten more stock which means more money for her lol. Now shes just ostracized the very fans that were buying it all up!! Fatphobia aside (i say that as a fat person) its just bad business 😭

What’s the joke? I’m genuinely curious since everyone defending her is using that as an excuse. Calling paying fans “fat fucks” isn’t a joke, even if it’s said in a joking manner. Then, she uses her being bodyshamed online as an excuse for her fat phobic language. Are you being bodyshamed by your fat fans paying for your merch?? Because if the answer to that is “no,” she has no leg to stand on here. It’s apples and oranges.

I don’t understand how people continue to back her when she has proven over and over again she is a terrible person. It’s so gross.

She could also just take note of current fashion trends among younger women and girls today. I posted this on another sub earlier today. I was in a Hot Topic and there was a teenaged girl shopping with her family. She was not *at all* plus sized, but she wasn’t settling for any shirt that was below a 3X. Her parents didn’t get it but she could not be swayed. She was obviously going for a certain style that involved oversized clothing that was reminiscent of Billie Eilish.
Maybe her customers are fat. Maybe they just like baggy clothes. Maybe they don’t trust sizes because, especially for women, you can shop at 4 different stores and be 4 different sizes. Cardi made the money. Why the fuck does she care?

I can’t believe she said it out loud because I always think about this when buying merch. Like people will assume the worst when I buy an < XL shirt
