Emilie Kiser’s Husband Placed $25 Sports Bet Before Son Trigg’s Drowning | E! News

More details have come to light surrounding Trig Kaiser’s tragic death. Nearly three months after influencer Emily Kaiser and husband Brady Kaiser’s three-year-old son died from an accidental drowning in the family’s pool, police reports alleged that Brady, who was home with Trigg and their three-month-old Theodore, placed a $25 sports bet around the time of the incident. According to a report from the Chandler Police Department, or CPD, a basketball game between the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks was playing on the television as officers arrived to the family’s home. And during an interview with authorities at the time, per the report, Brady said that the game was quote, “not where my focus was. It was on my baby.” However, cell phone records that detailed a correspondence between Brady and the online sports betting company DraftKings later showed, per the report that the 28-year-old had allegedly placed the $25 wager on a Celtics player around the time of his son’s drowning. The report went on to state that the toddler quote was in the backyard unsupervised for more than 9 minutes and in the water for about seven of those minutes. Brady’s statements do not match what is seen on the video. He did not accurately describe one thing Trigg did after he went outside, adding, “This leads to the conclusion that Brady was not aware of what Trigg was doing and was not watching him. The combination of these factors led to Trigg drowning and a remedy to any of the contributing circumstances could have prevented that outcome.” And following the investigation surrounding Trigg’s untimely passing, officials stated that Brady won’t be charged in relation to the incident. with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office saying in a July 25th statement, Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced today that Brady Kaiser would not be charged in the drowning death of his son because there is no reasonable likelihood of conviction. 1. Pools are categorically branded an attractive nuisance requiring safety fencing. Losing his precious son in such an irresponsible manner is punishment enough. When you have a pool and kids you can't let them out of your sight for any amount of time.

    2. I don’t understand why the US doesn’t have strict laws re fencing standards for backyard pools!! In Australia it is illegal to have a pool without a specific fence! There also can’t be any items up against the fence that children can use for climbing, CPR instructions on all pools and so on. The laws are extremely strict and very specific.

Furthermore, proof it works?? Since these laws/legislations were introduced there has been a 60% reduction in swimming pool drownings of children over the last 20 years!

Blows my mind that the US doesn’t care about its citizens and this is just one example among so many (health care, welfare, gun laws and school shootings… I could go on) . I guess it’s more important for your neighbours to envy how pretty your backyard is, right? Then have a fence that literally protects children… 😒

    3. A steady outpour of support for the parents – wish there was the same energy for this poor little boy.
They exploited him in life and will take zero accountability for his wholly preventable death.

If they weren’t wealthy and white, he’d be behind bars and the comments section would look very different.
If it had been a babysitter or even the mother herself at home when this happened- the comments section would look very different.

So many social safety nets to catch privileged, wealthy, white men- it’s astonishing.

    4. what a dud of a human being. He LITERALLY doesn’t have a job; as a SAHD it is literally his main responsibility to look after his children, and one ended up drowning 20 minutes after being left alone with them for the FIRST TIME since she gave birth. All while he was busy gambling her money away.

    5. Gambling 'which is a sin' bet on a basketball game instead of watching his son. Trigg DESERVES justice… if it was a babysitter they'd be in jail plus the suffering of what they did – I guess being rich n famous does pay :"( … prob sell a book about this later.. Parents get charged with leaving their child in a hot car n dies, of all races, but yet he gets away ?

    6. Wow, nothing but condemnation… I think he's suffered enough for an entire lifetime and has to live with his negligence the rest of his life. How many of us have made mistakes?
Instead of railing on this father, I think maybe you should pray for him and for his wife and his marriage. We all believe it's a terrible tragedy,… But I'm not going to condemn him because he probably already condemns himself. I am praying for him. ✝️🙏🏼💔😭 Terrible, heartbreaking tragedy.😭

    7. The father is facing a life sentence. His sentence is forever know his son is dead because of him. He's 28 years old and for the next 60-70 years he'll be living with that. This was an accident that had the worst consequences. I am praying for the family through this unimaginable heartbreaking time. Nothing compares.

    8. All of the people saying he should be charged are literally brain dead, like u don’t think loosing his kid is enough punishment ? That was his son I bet it hurts him way more than it hurts you, he made a mistake yes but taking him to jail is not going to bring that boy alive he is paying his negligence be sure of that

    9. Too bad the “influencer” could not influence the person right under her nose, to better focus on his busy bee children at all times when children are up and about.

    10. Why are they protecting these criminals by siding with them in not releasing the full report! The father is responsible for the child’s passing and this is unacceptable!!! I don’t agree with “no reasonable likelihood of conviction”…

    11. Peace of s***y father. Rest in peace little one. You're in God's eyes and care. They need to be charged. Do they have another child? I'm a mom and I'd always make sure he's safe and by my side. I even asked my ex and my ex's family. They're not bothered I ask but my ex is bothered. Well excuse me, I ask because I'm his mother and I want to make sure he's taken care of. My boy is my only boy. I'd do anything for him he's my precious boy. Many moms know what I mean.

Either way, rest in peace to Trigg.

    12. It's so obvious that being RICH MORMONS in Chandler, Arizona comes with a free 'get out of jail card' from prosecutors. I wonder if the DA is a member of their church, too.

    13. him trying to blame his focus being “only on the baby” is ridiculous. didn’t believe that for a second. the worst part is that trigg didn’t even need to be outside.
