YouTubers Stacey Tourout & Matthew Yeomans Die in Car Accident | E! News

Stacy Turout and Matthew Yman’s loved ones are in mourning. The couple who go by Toyota World Runners on social media died in a car accident on August 7th in British Columbia, Canada. Their families confirmed. Stacy’s mom, Colleen Torout, wrote on Facebook August 11th with unimaginable heartache. The families of Matthew Peter Yman’s and Stacy Tout would like to advise that we lost them both tragically succumbing to injuries in an off-road accident in the beautiful mountains of British Columbia that they loved so much. Please keep us and them in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this devastating end to an amazing love story. They are together forever as we knew they would always be. Stacy and Matthew were found quite a long ways north in the valley up towards the village of Trout Lake about 400 miles northeast of Vancouver. According to Mark Jennings Bait, the manager with Caslo search and rescue, he told the CBC, “Our teams were able to get to them efficiently. It’s a long journey, but they got there efficiently, so that was very, very helpful.” Despite their arrival via helicopter, the official noted that one passenger was dead on arrival while the other died at a nearby hospital. Enus has reached out to Caslo’s search and rescue for comment and has not yet heard back. The couple who lived as nomads in their Toyota were no strangers to the outdoors as they spent their days exploring mountains, forests, and canyons. Matthew had even proposed to Stacy in front of Mount Fitzroy, which borders Argentina and Chile. He wrote on Facebook in April 2024. Two truly monumental dreams came true today. I waited a long time for this exact moment. Rehearsed it in my mind for years. After our first date, I knew I could spend my life with this girl. Driving the length of the Americas in a rig that we built has made us into a remarkable team. Proven, he continued. After 16 months and 16 countries, we made it here to the mountain which was on my vision board in my bachelor pad for years. And I asked Daisy to be my forever. The moment was perfectly us. [Music]

    1. i am very familiar with the west kootenays and in particular the mountains around kaslo. off road mountain highways can be treacherous and i am so sorry this has happened to them. condolences to their families, friends and followers.

    2. No critical views here but the mods they made to their unit undoubtably contributed to the accident. Please don't do what they did, its far more complicated than they show, dont make the same mistake! Watching their videos I can sure see why that ruck was unstable.

    5. I'm literally in tears right now. I can't believe this. I remember watching their video of converting a truck to drive down to South America, and they did it! I remember him proposing to her… omg 😒. They lived life to the fullest and truly lived it. May your adventures continue in the afterlife.
