I miss this era of movies so much. It feels like they only make remakes/reboots or made-for-streaming content like this now.

Growing up with a single mom in the 90s, anything with Julia Roberts or Sandra Bullock was a staple. My Best Friend’s Wedding, Runaway Bride, Notting Hill, Pretty Woman, Miss Congeniality, and While You Were Sleeping were all big for us. Also Love Actually–I know it’s a very stupid movie but it was always our Christmas movie.

Romeo and Juliet was our “getting ready to go out” movie in college. We’d watch it before hitting the bar and it was always so fun

Ever After is literally the best Cinderella adaptation and it’s not even up for debate sorry

I take issue with Romeo+Juliet, Clueless, Mean Girls, and 10 Things I Hate About You being described as chick flicks.
As someone who likes them I am missing Sleepless in Seattle, French Kiss, Notting Hill, and probably more I’m forgetting. ***Edit*** I’m just now seeing “late 90s” and not just “90s” so ok, fair play.

No mention of 27 dresses and bridget jones….Scandalous
I can’t resist Under the Tuscan Sun when I see it somewhere.
That Romeo & Juliet soundtrack *is still and will forever be a banger.*
I’m not a native speaker and I’m not sure if “chick flick” means what I think it means so I apologize in advance, but why is romeo + juliet here 😭😭
excuse me, you didn’t put sugar & spice and i’m pretty sure that’s illegal
