In other scenes, Meghan could be seen relaxing in the kitchen whilst wearing a burgundy jumper from French It-girl label Sézane. The look appeared to have been inspired by Kate Middleton, who wore the exact same knit in cream for an outing in 2023.

The latter, of course, will be especially apt for Meghan Markle, whose new era of lifestyle shows and rosé wines has been viewed as a return to her life before the perceived constraints of life as a royal. When the Duchess of Sussex announced the launch of her As Ever brand back in April, she left a meaningful message to followers on her Instagram, referencing the old lifestyle blog she used to run before falling in love with Prince Harry.

‘As Ever essentially means “as it’s always been”’, Meghan wrote, ‘and if you followed me since 2014, with The Tig, you know I’ve always loved cooking and crafting and gardening. This is what I do, and I haven’t been able to share it with you in the same way for the past few years, but now I can.’ Could season two of With Love, Meghan be the culmination of this ‘return’ to the life that the Duchess has ‘always loved’? It may seem like a stretch, but Meghan Markle is a royal who knows more than most the impact of a sartorial decision, once telling The New York Times that ‘simply wearing, like, an earring’ is ‘one of the most powerful things that I’m able to do.’
