Alicia Silverstone Reveals Why She Took Breaks From Acting | E! News

Alicia Silverstone is revealing why she took a break from acting. Best known for her role as Sher Horowitz in the 1995 hit movie Clueless. Alicia spoke with Entertainment Weekly in an August 14th interview about her time in the industry, saying, “Before Clueless, I was much more intuitive and playful and had more confidence about what I was doing. And I think after Clueless, for a minute, I got a little stressed and made it more intellectual or something. I had about 3 or 4 years of this strange feeling. Acting is important to me, but I have taken breaks from it at times and then come back to it because I loved it so much. I figured out that you can do all of the things. And at 48, Alicia will be back on the big screen in the upcoming sci-fi comedy Bugonia, set to release in theaters August 24th, and the Netflix holiday romcom A Merry Little Exmiss streaming November 12th. That’s on top of executive producing the upcoming Clueless sequel series where the actress will reprise her role as Sher Horowitz. [Music]
