Chris Martin on what love means to him: “I think maybe love has quite a lot to do with acceptance, kindness I guess. I think love is not wanting anybody to suffer and doing everything you can to stop suffering, in yourself and in other beings.”

I mean he’s not wrong.
this makes me think of bell hooks’ all about love when she talks about love being active rather than passive. it’s a conscious decision to love and it depends on action above all else
If he wanted to stop suffering so much then maybe he should have actually spoke against the genocide and not to do this whole: “I don’t see countries- I see people” [both-sides PR bullshit he was trying to pull off](https://lovin.co/palestine/en/news/coldplay-called-out-for-equating-palestine-with-genocidal-israel/). He’s just a rich asshole.
It reminds me of something i heard a psychologist say about unhappy couples staying together “for the kids” .Basically, the healthiest thing for a child is neutralising the conflict between the parents and in many cases it could mean getting a divorce . In this way, divorcing is a real act of love because it represents the willingness to put an end to suffering.
He brings up suffering. Hmm interesting . He immediately switched as he realized it’s his vulnerability
love means ages 21-33
