They used fishing line and a squib to make it look like the magnetic field was ripping rings off Eric’s nipples. Richard, you sold that, buddy. To really sell the effect, they laid one actor on a board over another actor’s lower half and sewed them together for an ultra realistic look. Eric, get away. Stop. Another epic death scene features a garbage compactor slicing Anna’s face and arm. I have the best death scene. The crew really went for it and built an awesome replica to nail the effect. They even chopped up a doll to make everything look super realistic. For the grass cutter scene, they used a replica of the machine that had a special container and sprayer added to it to make the scene even more convincing.
