Chef José Andrés visited Deir al-Balah in Gaza yesterday, with his organization World Central Kitchen, & helped prepare meals for starving Palestinians: “how we can have so much passion and joy for feeding people, and at the same time carry the deep pain of seeing hunger right in front of us.”

Just shame everyday to be part of a society, a civilization, that is doing this to its own human family. I’m grateful for World Kitchen. When you look for the helpers you find helpers, people who are good. I just wish there were not so many evil people creating work for them.

Wanted the Spanish foreign minister fired for accusing Israel of genocide and blocking humanitarian aid (lmao) two years ago, attacked experts who called the propaganda air dropped aid useless theater, was handpicked by Israel to replace UNRWA (whom they want to destroy for reasons far beyond aid distribution like the right of return) and ship aid by sea (which is nonsense and only helped give them legitimacy to blockade land aid for longer) only for them to kill his employees and continue with their starvation plan.

I’m wary of anyone Israel likes and agrees to work with 🤷🏽‍♀️

His work is incredible. Hope he receives the Nobel Peace Prize one day.

Food is often a primary target by governments during war to weaken populations in masses, disabling their ability to fight. Food is strength to survive, fight, and most importantly, to live.

Chef Andrés and crew were here in Asheville after we got hit with a hurricane serving up meals, can’t think of many better groups of people

    5. He’s such a kind person. I met him years ago when he hosted a viewing party for his Iron Chef premiere at Jaleo in DC . It was “battle goat against Bobby Flay, he joked that he’d never cook goat again.

He made a huge paella and had a leg of Iberico ham. He kept asking people if they needed more. It was his party, but he made sure everyone was fed and happy. He’s a lovely person, full of love and life.

It’s so sad that there are so many bad people in this world when it’s so easy to be kind and loving like him. I hope my kids grow up to be like him.
