Meghan Markle may have just extended her Netflix deal with husband Prince Harry, but she’s already eyeing her next big project.
A source tells Examiner the Suits alum, 44, is hoping to land a gig as a talk show host amid the genre’s ever-changing landscape — which includes The Late Show With Stephen Colbert permanently ending in 2026, and speculation that Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon may be next when their respective host’s contracts are up.
“She’s convinced this could be a good opportunity for her,” a source tells Examiner. “They’ll have a lot of spots to fill and that’s when she’ll make her pitch — if she hasn’t already.”
“Landing a TV talk show will be the ultimate power move and do a great job of boosting her popularity,” the source continues. “It’ll take her schmoozing capability to the next level, earn her a ton of cash and give her a lot of power in Hollywood.”

Snagging a prominent spot in the television chat fest space could also help Markle prove her naysayers wrong, says the source: “What better way to get back at critics than to land a gig as chat show host?”
It could also allow her to revamp her image, which has taken a hit in recent years amid her ongoing feud with Harry’s family and career criticism.
“It will be a whole new reinvention for her,” adds the source.
Until then, the mom of two — who shares Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, with Harry, 40 — is keeping busy: Season 2 of With Love, Meghan is set to premiere on Netflix August 26.
People also reported that a holiday special called With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration will also premiere later this year on the streaming network.
