Drake Bell Reportedly Files for Divorce from Wife Janet 2 Years After Her Filing

Drake Bell has reportedly filed for divorce. More than two years after his aranged wife Janet von Schmemelling filed to divorce the former child star after four years of marriage, Drake has now reportedly filed his own petition in Florida August 14th, according to TMZ. And while his court documents have not been made public, ENZ obtained Janet’s 2023 legal filing in which she states the reason for the split was quote irreconcilable differences. Janet’s legal dogs also state that the two separated in September of 2022. She has also requested primary legal and physical custody of their four-year-old son, Wyatt, as well as spousal support. News of the initial filing came one week after Drake briefly went missing in Florida in 2023, leading authorities to issue a message that he was quote missing and endangered. In a police report obtained by E-News, Drake’s brother, Robert Bell, contacted Florida police after the Nickelodeon alum allegedly sent their mother suicidal text messages. Robert also stated that Drake was feeling quote distraught over alleged custody disputes with Janet over their son at the time. The actor seemingly offered an explanation for his disappearance days later, tweeting out, quote, “You leave your phone in the car and don’t answer it for the night.” And this along with a laughing emoji. The following week, Drake tweeted, quote, “I found out my wife filed for divorce from TMZ. Check out my new song.” While adding a link to the song titled Going Away. [Music]
