Queen Camilla added a touch of history to her look with the “Minoru” brooch on day two of the Ebor Festival at York Racecourse on Thursday in York, England.
For the horse racing event, Queen Camilla opted for summertime florals in a Fiona Clare dress she’s worn on several occasions, including during a trip to Scotland alongside King Charles III in July. Atop the botanical-inspired dress, England’s queen consort wore a pale blue Anna Valentine coat.

Queen Camilla paired her soft pastel tones with neutrals, wearing a pair of beige kitten heels and a coordinated hat to complete her look. The British royal family member accessorized with her three-strand pearl necklace with a statement diamond clasp and coordinated earrings.
Among her accessories, Queen Camilla adorned her Anna Valentine coat with the “Minoru” brooch. The piece features sapphires and rubies and spells out the name “Minoru” in a horseshoe shape, making the piece ideal for the second day of the Ebor Festival horse race.

The brooch has an extensive history related to the sport, which is why Queen Camilla has worn the piece in previous horse races. The brooch’s style dates back to the early 20th century and the reign of King Edward VII, according to The Court Jeweller.
During King Edward VII’s time as monarch, Minoru was known as one of the best racehorses in the world and was one of the king’s Thoroughbred racehorses. According to The Court Jeweller, the king became so enamored with the animal and his winning streak, he had jewelry pieces made to celebrate the colt and his jockey, Danny Maher.
