Whilst Prince William and Kate are preparing for their major move to Forest Lodge, they remain at Adelaide Cottage: a charming five-bedroom home situated within the Windsor estate.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have called this picturesque property home for three years, sharing the space with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – along with their beloved family dog, Orla, the cocker spaniel.
Though the majority of their private family life stays behind closed doors, William has candidly revealed the unusual sleeping arrangements he shares with Kate and one other surprising bedtime companion.

During a Royal visit last year, William disclosed this intimate detail whilst stroking a supporter’s dog during his trip to Duchy College in Cornwall.
As he chatted with Louise Harland and petted her dog Jacks, the future king mentioned how Orla regularly shares the Royal couple’s bed at night, reports the Mirror US.
Louise revealed to Hits Radio Cornwall: “[William] said that his little dog sleeps on the bed with them at night, with him and Kate.
“[He was] absolutely in love with my little dog. He asked what breed he was, and he’s never met one of those breeds; he’s a Cockerjack, so he’s a little bit of a unique combination.”
To mark William’s birthday this year, Kate shared a heartwarming photograph featuring William alongside Orla and her litter of newborn puppies.
The black cocker spaniel – presented as a gift from Kate’s brother James Middleton in 2020 – recently welcomed four delightful puppies. The photograph of William, Orla and her puppies was captured by the princess in Windsor earlier this June.
The caption states, “Happy birthday! Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies!”.
It seems the Wales household has a particular fondness for creatures beyond their canines.
Last year, William paid a visit to Woodgate Valley Urban Farm, where he got hands-on with various creatures, including some incredibly adorable guinea pigs.
The prince had the opportunity to stroke them and even groom one called Snowflake.
He revealed to some of the people he encountered at the farm, “These guys are pretty cool. We’ve got guinea pigs at home, and they are not like this.
“I have to spend my life cleaning out the guinea pig cage because the children forget to do it. And then they run off because you have to handle them all the time, that’s why these ones are so calm. The ones we’ve got at home, they’re off. You have to keep them constantly stroked and looked after.”
