‘An important moment’: Former Eagle Mitch Brown becomes first openly bisexual male player in AFL’s history

Can’t believe I’m reading AFL headlines on Fauxmoi!! For real though, homophobia has been a major topic in the AFL for the last 2 years and seeing a player come out as bisexual is massive. For anyone who doesn’t follow, the Australian Football League have been trying to stamp out homophobia, by suspending players who have used homophobic slurs as a sledge to other players during the game. There has been a total of 6 players suspended, the most recent one last week was Izak Rankine who could potentially miss the grand final if his team makes it. The AFL have made their stance clear, that if you say a slur you will be missing matches. The AFL have also announced Snoop Dogg as their entertainment for the grand final this year, and with his recent comments I find it interesting and wonder if they will drop him, since they’ve supposedly made their stance clear. ANYWAYS I’m so happy for Mitch even though some of the comments are nasty as. We have a long way to go as a society
