A closer look at Taylor Swift’s engagement ring, which Travis Kelce helped design #shorts

Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift jointly announced their engagement on Instagram Tuesday, sharing photos of their romantic garden proposal along with a close-up of the bride to be stunning diamond ring. Swift’s old mine brilliant cut sparkler was designed by jeweler Kindred Lubec of Artifacts Fine in collaboration with Kelsey as page six style exclusively confirmed. Characterized by their cushion-like shape, rounded corners, and chunky facets, old mine cut diamonds were especially popular in the 18th and 19th centuries. And because each of these antique stones were cut and polished by hand, no two are alike. Kindred Lubec specializes in natural gemstones and hand engraved jewelry, telling Voyage Jacksonville in 2024 to think of it as tattooing rings. You can see her engraving work on the yellow gold band of Swift’s ring. If you look closely, it appears a tea is carved next to the centerstone. Though the jeweler hasn’t confirmed the detail, it would certainly be on brand for the pop queen, though, who accepted Kelsey’s proposal while wearing two of her favorite personal pieces. A diamond studded double tea ring from Tiffany and a heart-shaped foundre earrings stamped with the same letter. Also part of Swift’s engagement outfit, a pair of Louis Vuitton sandals and a striped polo Ralph Lauren dress that sold out near minutes after her Instagram post went live.
