Vera Farmiga Details Eerie Bruise From The Conjuring: Last Rites Shoot | E! News

Yeah, I get battered, Francesca. Like like like you see that? I mean, it depends whether it’s upside down or not. Whether they’re crosses or upside down crosses. I guess it depends on how I show you my my leg. Like that’s just like Yeah, that happens every time we do it. It’s just these unexplicable bruising shapes that occur on my body and it is what it is. I you know, anything I I I’ve said this in response to even what Ver is talking about with stuff that’s happened on set. I think anytime something happens in real life, I never sensationalize it. So I I there’s a lot of unexplained things and anytime you’re dealing with real real people, real families, real friends, that’s that’s much bigger than any of this other stuff. How many cases you guys had? Cases. My name is Ed Warren here with my wife Lorraine. Maybe a thousand, man. Yeah. Brace yourself, man. I mean, there’s, you know, you’re going to jump and scream, but you’re going to shed a lot of tears, too. I’m just saying. You’re going to be raw. You’re going to shed some water weight and tears. I mean, I think so. I think so. Get those Kleenex and the ones with the lotion on it. Every family’s different. Once we start, there’s no going back. Anything can happen. Yeah. Bittersweet is a Yeah, that’s that it’s it’s it’s impossible to put into words. I I by the nature of just who we are as people and as actors and all of that, we’re so used to the nomadic experience. And I mean it was and also we ended the shoot shooting that very climactic scene in the films which rarely happens, never happens, you know. So, it it did feel like, wow, we’re coming to the end of something and this is the most that these characters have ever been through, arguably the most that we’ve ever been through, certainly on this franchise. So, um yeah, it’s it it’s it’s hard to grasp the weight. It is. But I wish we could give you like a really nostalgic like poignant ooey gooey. Like there was no big grand farewell between him and me. Like it was pretty unceremonious. Like I don’t know. We looked like zombies. We kind of just blinked at each other and he left. But I think we were just we were we had gone so deep that we were just emptied. And they wrapped him like three days earlier than me. I was left in a bloody basement like still strugg [Music] I did. I stole my rosary. Why? Um because I’m with you. Um because uh Lorraine gave it to me. I love that. I don’t know if I took anything this time around. I mean, I’ve taken things over the years. Oh my heart. Probably just some shoes and things. Yeah, maybe some sweet tight pants. Oh, it’s helpful. By the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, [Applause] [Music]

Speaking exclusively with E! News, ‘The Conjuring: Last Rites’ stars Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson detailed their final portrayals as famous psychic investigators Lorrain Warren and Ed Warren. The ‘Bates Motel’ alum revealed how a cross-shaped bruise appearing on her leg wasn’t the first time she’s been surprised by injuries while filming ‘The Conjuring Universe’ movies. Patrick also reacted to the recent death of paranormal researcher Dan Rivera, who died while touring with the infamous Annabelle doll.

    1. Considering Ed and Lorraine Warren were considered charlatans/fakers by virtually every one that knew them, they are still doing the rounds.Dont get me wrong,I love these films,Vera Farmiga has always been a superb actress and this is why i/we love Horror films, because they have nothing to do with real life/reality…One American sceptic many years ago said…"If Ed Warren told me the sky was Blue,I'd have gone outside and looked up just to check".

    2. I mean, its not surprising. Ask anyone who works on films dealing with demons, the devil, god, jesus,…lile the exorcism of emily rose, the exorcist..etc they all have supernatural happenings and demonic events that really do happen cuz that stuff is real!!

    3. Either promotion or a real attack. From my experience since you were are working with the paranormal, you open the door for those types of things to happen. It can get worse. It depends on your faith.

    4. I probably couldn’t handle a big farewell scene anyway. Also, when Vera said Patrick wrapped before her, makes me scared he’s gonna die. Plsss no

    5. That's very terrifying, all the movies she's done that are of the supernatural and negative. How could that be positive in their life? I mean, they're good actors and we love seeing them, but I don't know if I could do it. I'm Christian. I would have a problem definitely doing these movies. I don't care how much you pay me that you know. It's like opening a door to darkness. You shouldn't really do. You know it, some of this is really real and the based on true stories. I've heard many stories when they made the pultegeist movies look at all those actresses that. Died in real life….I hope they protect theirs elves. When making these movies!!!!!😮😢
