‘Bringing Up Bates’ Star Erin Bates in Septic Shock After Giving Birth | E! News

Bringing up Bates alum Aaron Bates Payne is experiencing a serious health scare. The reality star is currently in critical condition in the ICU one week after giving birth to her and her husband Chad Payne’s seventh child, Henry. Alongside two black and white photos of Aaron in a hospital bed, her husband writes in a September 1st Instagram post, “We had asked for prayer for recovery for Aaron due to complications. labor was longer and more intense than previous births. She has been fighting through it and has been such a light and sweet testimony of grace to nurses, staff, and doctors alike. We are all moved by her kindness and gratefulness in the midst of pain. Chad continues, “Aaron developed a severe UTI and kidney infection which sent her into septic shock. She’s currently still in the ICU as doctors continue to treat, diagnose, and search for answers. We would covet your prayers for this beautiful girl who is such a light in a dark world. We are holding on to God’s promises. He notes that the couple’s newborn son is doing well in the NICU, writing, “He is our bundle of happiness.” Aaron, who is the third child of parents Gil Bates and Kelly Joe Bates, 19 kids, previously announced the birth of her sixth child on Instagram on August 27th, writing in a post with Chad, “After a long and emotional labor, our miracle arrived. Henry is doing wonderful, but we would so appreciate your prayers for Aaron as she continues to recover from some complications. In an April 25th post, Aaron and Chad wrote about what parenthood means to them in their pregnancy announcement, sharing, “This journey to parenthood has been filled with love, laughter, and even challenges.
