Prince Andrew’s former flame, Lady Victoria Hervey, recently expressed her surprise at the enduring marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Known for her provocative opinions, Lady Victoria shared with Closer magazine that she perceives Harry and Meghan’s relationship as having hit some rough patches recently.

The socialite, who allegedly had a brief romance with the Duke of York in 1999, told the publication: “I’m amazed their marriage has lasted as long as this – I’m sure it’s only because of the kids, because it seems to have been quite rocky for a while. She got him to move his whole life, and now she’s back where she grew up.”

Her remarks follow Meghan’s declaration on entrepreneur Jamie Kern Lima’s podcast several months ago, where she affirmed that she and Harry, 40, will be together “forever” and are experiencing “more of a honeymoon period” than ever before. The news comes as it was revealed Prince Harry may use two unlikely royals to build bridge with estranged King Charles.

Two years post their 2018 nuptials, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their senior roles within the Royal Family and relocated to Montecito, California. They currently reside there with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

In the coming days, Prince Harry is set to return to the UK to attend The WellChild Awards, a visit that coincides with the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s passing on September 8, reports the Express.

While it remains unconfirmed if the King will meet with his youngest son upon his return, Lady Victoria suggested that Prince Harry would need to demonstrate he’s a “changed man” before being welcomed back into the family fold.

This follows Harry and Meghan’s explosive sit-down with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 regarding their experiences within the Royal Family, followed shortly by a tell-all memoir packed with allegations about his family relationships.

Lady Victoria’s latest remarks about Prince Harry and Meghan emerge after the Duchess launched the second episode of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, on August 26.

The second season of With Love, Meghan debuted on August 26, featuring Meghan Markle creating handicrafts and welcoming celebrity pals and culinary experts to a leased estate to demonstrate her motto “Love is in the details.”
