After the success of its first season, the second series of With Love, Meghan has returned to Netflix featuring the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle. Eagle eyed viewers of the series will have spotted one of Meghan’s favourite jewellery pieces that she wears on repeat, and it’s sparked a major new trend.

Meghan has been wearing her Maya Brenner Custom Gold Necklace for years now, having been spotted in it as far back as 2016. The necklace features meaningful charms, including an A and L for her children Archie and Lilibet, a sapphire birthstone for Prince Harry’s birthday, a peridot birthstone for Meghan’s birthday, along with a pavé heart which sits in the middle.

This isn’t the first charm necklace Meghan has worn from the brand either, with her donning another version of the Maya Brenner Custom Gold Necklace when she first debuted her romance with Harry featuring M and H initials. Frankie Bridge has also been spotted wearing an initial necklace from the brand lately, saying she “never takes it off”.

With such a famous fan club, it’s no wonder that charm necklaces are rapidly becoming a top trending accessory. Meghan’s necklace starts at £490 for the five different charms, although if you were to replicate her exact design it will set you back £1,048. But if that’s a little out of budget, we’ve found other versions that are a little more affordable.

At Abbott Lyon, the Made Mine Fine Charm Necklace is currently on sale for £71.10 down from £79, and has space for up to 10 different charms of your choice. From initials and birthstones to symbols and zodiac signs, you can create a totally unique look, with the necklace and charms made from 18K gold plated sterling silver with a tarnish, sweat and heat proof coating.

You could also head to Oak & Luna, where the gold plated Inez Initial Necklace is also fully customisable. You can pick from 14k solid gold or 14k white gold for £250, 18k gold vermeil for £117 or 18k gold plating for £91, have it with or without diamonds, and choose up to five initials to have on your necklace.

However the Oak & Luna necklace only allows you to choose initials, rather than other charms and pendants, so if you’re looking for an affordable one to replicate the combination of birthstones, charms and initials that Meghan wears, the Abbott Lyon Made Mine Fine Charm Necklace is a great option. Now all you need to decide is what charms to get!
