The actress chats with Enu’s Franchesca Amiker alongside the real life Christy Martin, a boxer who Sydney plays in the film, which made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival. An honor to meet you both. So much Oscar buzz around this film. I know you’re just like, “What in the world? This is my life.” I want to ask you about training and your diet. How grueling was this for you? Give us the full breakdown. I mean, I think it was probably one of my most amazing fun experiences. I got to eat everything that I wanted. I was a very happy person and I became so strong. I felt so good. I mean, I just I felt Christiey’s power. What did you eat? What? I mean, everything. How grueling was it? What was the most grueling part? Um, I don’t I loved it. So, it just felt it felt fun and exciting. I don’t know if I was ever like, “Oh my god, this is grueling.” Cuz it was just such a good time. Thank you so much. Christy and Sydney posed together on the red carpet at the big premiere. Back in October of last year, the Euphoria star revealed she would be taking on the role of the boxer, who survived domestic violence and a horrific 2010 murder attempt by her ex-husband Jim Martin, played by actor Ben Foster in the film.
