Ozzy Osbourne honored at VMAs 2025 with powerful rock tribute featuring Aerosmith and Yungblud
Mama. During Sunday’s 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, the late Azie Osborne was honored with a powerful rock tribute featuring Aerosmiths Steven Tyler and Joe Perry along with punk rock singer Young Bloodood and guitarist Nuno Bettincourt. The segment began with a video montage from Aussy’s son Jack and his four daughters, all clad in Aussie shirts, who introduced the tribute to the rock legend. I’d like to give a special shout out to Dom, Nuno, Steven, Joe from Aerosmith, we love you, Dad. In the words of our papa, Young Bloodood then hit the stage mimicking Azy’s signature Allabboard call before singing his rendition of Black Sabbath’s Changes and Crazy Train. The 28-year-old singer joined Tyler and Perry for Mama I’m Coming Home, receiving loud applause from the audience. Earlier in the night, Aussy’s guitarist, Nuno Bettincourt, told Page 6 that being included in the tribute to the heavy metal Godfather meant everything to him. He was a godfather to us. you know, he started it in the early ‘7s and that’s how rock became heavier and heavier and uh for him what he did with Black Sabbath and then be out of there and have a whole other career as Ozie Osborne and the solo artist and then be a reality star after that. This guy’s affected culture in a way and touched everybody in so many different ways. So, it means everything, especially having been part of it in Birmingham just a month ago now maybe and going up and performing and actually talking to him and saying goodbye. We didn’t know I mean we knew it but we didn’t know it, you know, and uh so that was really special.
Rest in peace, Ozzy Osbourne.
