Taylor Swift Not Attending MTV VMAs 2025 | E! News

The life of a showgirl sometimes means having to skip an awards ceremony. E-News has learned that Taylor Swift will be a no-show at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, September 7th. The newly engaged pop star will not be in attendance at UBS Arena in New York, where she’s up for Artist of the Year alongside Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen, and The Weekend. and she might even miss a potentially historic MTV moment. If Taye takes home a Moonman this year, she will officially become the most decorated artist since the ceremony’s inception in 1984. She’s currently tied with Beyonce for artist with the most VMAs ever awarded with 30. But we can’t blame Tay for skipping. She’s a busy woman. On top of breaking the internet with her Travis Kelce engagement announcement recently, she’s also preparing to welcome a new era with her next album, The Life of a Showgirl, dropping on October 3rd. One thing’s for sure, we’ll miss watching the superstar have an absolute blast in the audience, singing, dancing, and cheering on her fellow nominees. Nobody does the VMAs quite like Taylor. [Music]
