Kate Gosselin Details Losing Baby No. 7 Ahead of Welcoming Sextuplets | E! News
Kate Goslin is reflecting on a difficult loss. More than 20 years after the John and Kate plus 8 alum welcomed her ex John Goslin sex, she reflects on the originally septup lip pregnancy and the loss of their baby. In a September 3rd Tik Tok, she says a lot of people were asking at what point did you lose that baby? So, we had our first ultrasound at 6 weeks and there were seven babies. I think they had us come back the next week. It was either the next week or two weeks. I can’t honestly remember um to see how they had progressed. In between that time, the seventh baby stopped growing. After finding out one of the babies was lost, Kate continued on her sexuplet pregnancy until a miscarriage scare a few weeks later. Kate noted that while she was in the emergency room at the time, she was terrified she had lost the sexlets. Started bleeding and I ended up in um the emergency room again and they did an ultrasound. I explained to them I was pregnant with six babies, used to be seven, and they did an ultrasound, and I was just waiting on pins and needles. I was trying to see that ultrasound so bad. And she was sort of shielding us from seeing. And so at some point, she just got really quiet. And I thought, “Here we go. It’s done.” And I was really, really scared. And all of a sudden, she said, “I see six.” And I said, “You see six what?” and she said, “I see six heartbeats.” She then described the relief she felt after that moment knowing her six babies were okay. That was the moment I knew that I was committed to these babies because I realized like the relief and I started sobbing that came over me. And from that point on, I was in it. “Committed to these babies” except for Collin 😢
I couldn't believe this. The reason is because she literally says that in a letter to Alexis she thought about what the baby's name would be if it was a girl and the name pattern DID NOT make sense at all. It also didn't go along with their "alphabetical system" either so, her losing that 7th baby was good because had it been viable and Kate had septuplets, had it been a girl, she'd be fine but had it been a boy, she probably would have shunned him so, it's a good thing she didn't have septuplets.
