MTV VMAs 2025: Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter and More Big Winners | E! NEWS

Here’s everyone who won big at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards. The awards kicked off September 7th at New York’s UBS Arena and brought together the biggest and brightest artists across all genres into one room. However, only some of music’s hottest names walked away with a Moonperson trophy at the ceremony, which was hosted by LL CoolJ for the second year in a row. Mariah Carey received the Video Vanguard Award for her record-breaking career in pop music, while Buster Rhymes also accepted the Rock the Bell’s Visionary Award for his contributions to hip hop. Lady Gaga led the pack with 12 nominations and took home four awards, while Sabrina Carpenter and Ariana Grande followed, each winning three. Lady Gaga took home artist of the year, best collaboration alongside Bruno Mars for their song Die with a Smile, as well as best direction, and best art direction for her song Abracadabra. Ariana won video of the year, best pop, and best long- form video, all for brighter days ahead. As for Sabrina, she won best pop artist, best album for short and sweet, as well as best visual effects for her Manchild music video. Additionally, song of the year was awarded to Rosé and Bruno Mars for their hit AP. Best new artist went to Alex Warren. and the MTV push performance of the year to Cat’s Eye for their song Touch.
