Headlines should be saying “negotiators”, because that’s what they were there to do. Imagine trying to negotiate with a state that will assassinate you if they don’t like how the negotiations are going.

Sooo Israel has bombed Qatar AND [allegedly] the flotilla in Tunisia, as well? On top of their wholesale destruction of Gaza city? What a week for getting away with war crimes.

    3. Qatar wanted to expel Hamas in 2025 but Trump asked them not to. Only to turn around and let another ally bomb them. That’s actually crazy. Horrible ally tbh

    4. UnintentionalWipe on

So Israel attacks Tunisia (the Flotilla was in Tunisia) and now Qatar and no one will bat an eye, because they can just say “Hamas” and get away with everything.

They were there to discuss the US’s ceasefire proposal. Israel doing their rogue state stuff as always (and, as always, backed up by the global north). Keep feeding that monster because that has worked out so well in the past! /s

At what point will Israel government officials be assassinated? Given that it’s clearly fine to just kill negotiators and ambassadors and diplomats where they stand. What a horrendous rogue state.

    8. These were people there to negotiate. Killing ambassadors/diplomats has been considered a heinous crime since antiquity.

But this revolting rogue state breaks all laws because it’s backed by the US. The end of American hegemony will be a good thing for the world.

    9. VajennaDentada on

These were the specific negotiators Trump sent out to go over the latest negotiations.

The US clearly knew about this, but I find it hilarious the cover will be “This ally we give everything to, attacked our other ally behind our back”

Why the US knew about this:

      – We have huge assets in Qatar, including a base. CENTCOM would know any unauthorized aerial objects, period.

      – US executive office has still not commented. That’s insane. The least they would do is hopes and prayers + investigating.

      – Qatari military commented they “don’t know” if higher-ups knew. That’s code for pissed

    10. I happen to be in Doha right now and damn. Absolute shock at this. I wouldn’t have ever thought this was a possibility. The insanity of hitting a mediator state is beyond me. Regardless of where anyone stands, violating airspace and bounds of another country is insane. People don’t realize how calm and peaceful and modern this country is. This is not a Syria. Or a low hanging fruit they can just hit and move on.

I’m very very concerned for what’s gonna happen now.

    11. Hey OP…they were the peace negotiators. Really misrepresents what Israel did by just calling it “leadership”.

Also, this was an assassination, a murder killing.

The headline should be more accurate.

Israel is a rogue nation and a threat to the world.

    12. Financial-Painter689 on

Israeli terrorist state strikes again, they do not want peace and they get to act with impunity everytime

    13. They kill negotiators how many times and then cry about how they can’t get their “hostages” (POWs—if you get taken from a tank, you’re definitely not a civilian)…

    14. TheTwistedBlade on

Palestine, Tunisia, Lebanon, Syria and now Qatar. Any other country in the world attacking 5 countries like that would have been sanctioned to the bottom of the earth while being attacked by the UN.

      Just insane!
