Prince Harry, who was just eight miles away from his brother Prince William during his UK visit, made a somewhat awkward comment about sibling relationships.

Despite being in close proximity, there are reportedly no plans for the brothers to meet during Harry’s trip. The Duke of Sussex attended an awards ceremony for the WellChild charity on Monday, where he engaged in conversation with attendees. He asked one young boy, “Have you got brothers and sisters?”

The boy responded, “Yes I have got a younger brother.” To which Harry jokingly asked, “Does he drive you mad?” The boy replied, “Well no, we get on quite well,” causing Harry to chuckle. It comes after his brother Prince William allegedly rejected Harry’s “peace offering” ahead of his UK return.

Harry also had a sit-down chat with an award winner, captured by ITV. Although he declined media interviews, he shared during the conversation, “I always used to laugh with my grandparents, funnily enough, about working with children.”

“For me, that unpredictability brings so much fun and enjoyment. I have been slapped across the face, I’ve had my beard pulled. I have had my tie wrapped around my head.”

Reflecting on his charity work with children, he added, “I have always said for many years that I still have a child inside of me. I think all of us do.

“I think being amongst these kids brings that out of me. I think that out of all the qualities that these kids have, without question, their resilience tops it all.”

Prince Harry has flown back to the UK for a four-day visit, leaving his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and their two young children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, in California.

As a patron of Wellchild, Harry attended an event on Monday evening that honored the accomplishments and resilience of seriously ill children and their families.

During his brief stay, the Duke will engage in various charity-related activities, including a casual meeting with Children in Need.

It’s reported that the Prince has made a generous donation to the charity, which aids disadvantaged children throughout the UK. Upon landing, Harry made it a priority to visit his grandmother’s grave in Windsor.

He was spotted paying his respects privately inside St George’s Chapel, where he placed a wreath and some flowers. There’s been speculation that Harry might visit his father, King Charles.

However, his relationship with his brother, Prince William, is said to be strained, with the brothers reportedly not speaking to each other.

They almost crossed paths when Prince William and his wife Kate, the Princess of Wales, were just across Windsor Great Park as Harry laid his flowers.

They were meeting with WI members in a touching tribute to their beloved grandmother and monarch.
