Sexism & ageism on full display. Especially considering the huge percentage of viewers being teenage GIRLS who connected so strongly with HER….insane but sadly not surprising
This is wild for several reasons.
She was *the* female lead, the show revolved around her character.
Nina at least was somewhat known from Degrassi. Ian with Lost. Paul had no notable background.
Yet Nina was *never* paid the same as her two male costars?! I know that was the “standard” back then, but yikes.
She’s the only one I heard about during the show (via osmosis on Tumblr)
