Julianne Hough’s Sisters Feel “Sadness” They Aren’t as Famous | E! News

Julianne Huff is commenting on her other siblings not being as successful in Hollywood. Though the Dancing with the Stars host and her brother Derek Huff’s three older sisters, Sheree Huff, Marbeth Huff, and Catherine Huff, all danced and sang and acted when they were younger. Life ended up taking them on different paths. Julianne says on the September 9th episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, “My oldest sister, she started in the Mormon way. She got married at 19 and had six kids. My second sister moved to Nashville to be a country star. And my third sister wanted to be an actress. Ultimately though, the Foot Loose actress and her brother found much more success in Hollywood than their siblings, prompting a mixture of emotions. There’s no jealousy, but there is a sadness that maybe there wasn’t an opportunity for them to experience it. They’re so happy. So, so, so happy. They have great lives and they love their life, but we had an opportunity that they didn’t have and it’s hard. The 37year-old admits that her and Dererick’s careers ultimately put a strain on their relationship with their siblings. Dererick and I were always so close because we had shared experiences, whereas we never wanted to share because we were afraid to hurt someone’s feelings. But that just grew us further and further apart because we weren’t sharing. They didn’t feel included. However, Julianne and her siblings are determined to remain close. With the 37year-old adding, “It’s been very much like, all right, if it hurts, it hurts, but at least we’re close. We’re close and we’re moving through it. It’s human nature, too. People are going to have feelings, and they can be happy for you, but at the same time feel like, oh, [Music]
