Jon Cryer Says He Was Paid “a Third” of Charlie Sheen’s Salary | E! News

John Crier is pulling back the curtain on Two and a Half Men. In the new Netflix documentary, Aka Charlie Sheen, the actor reveals he was paid significantly less than his co-star, despite Charlie publicly battling addiction, saying, “Charlie’s in the midst of falling apart in every way I can imagine, and he’s renegotiating his contract for another year of a show I’m supposed to be on, too.” Apparently, they had pre-sold a couple of extra seasons of the show. It was worth their while to spend this astonishing amount of money on Charlie. Charlie, who starred on the CBS sitcom from 2003 to 2011, was at one point raking in $2 million an episode, making him the highest paid TV actor in history at the time, with Jon expressing frustration over his co-stars exorbitant salary, explaining, “They were so scared of him they would shovel money at him. That is what happened here. Charlie’s negotiations went off the charts because his life was falling apart. Me, whose life was pretty good at that time, I got a third of that. CBS and Warner Brothers television later fired Charlie from Two and a Half Men in March 2011. Something which the six-year-old says still hurts to this day, telling People in an interview published September 4th, “I regret that specifically still. I think if I hadn’t done what I had, I could be living a very different life right now. All my problems wouldn’t be what they are. [Music]
