    Matt Damon and Ben Affleck can’t stop, won’t stop making movies together. The famous friends are explaining why their intertwined careers are likely to stay that way. Matt telling GQ in a new interview that filmmaker Peter Jackson’s Beatles documentary inspired him to keep his partnership with Ben Affleck alive. He tells the magazine he realized he needed to keep making films with his longtime pal after the ending of the 2021 film Get Back, which follows the Beatles final days making music together in 1970. The film ends on a title card that says the band never worked together again. A thought that made Matt tear up and think of Ben immediately. He says he realized, “Who cares if we oversaturate the marketplace with movies we’re both in? We’re crazy if we don’t take advantage of the fact that we are both still here and able to do this. The longtime besties who came up in the industry together before winning an Oscar for their 1997 film Goodwill Hunting have made three films together in the last four years. Air, The Last Duel, and The Rip. And the bromance is mutual with Affleck telling GQ of working oncreen with Damon, “When you know someone as long as I’ve known Matt, you develop a pretty good sense of what is real and what isn’t. And it’s almost impossible to catch Matt acting. He is really a master of realism and it’s something I deeply admire about him. One of many things. [Music]
