    1. Being a hypocrite comes part and parcel with being a vehicle for the gun lobby and a tow-the-line conservative. It’s a traditional combo that never ceases to amaze me.

    2. It’s only been a few hours and I’m already getting so sick of conservatives finger wagging about the escalation of political violence like someone on their side didn’t just assassinate a Minnesota politician and her husband (and dog!) earlier this summer while they were being disgustingly dismissive and crass about it the whole time. Fuck you Mike Lee, you sanctimonious hypocritical sack of shit.

    3. Double standards and weaponized hypocrisy has destroyed the United States. Nihilistic and unserious people in power have destroyed this country.

    4. Thank you for this, I cannot take anyone seriously trying to both sides this situation. I’ve seen President Biden, President Obama, VP Harris, Governor Walz etc immediately acknowledge what happened, give sympathy to Kirk’s family and strongly condemn the violence. How long did it take President Trump to acknowledge the politicial assassinations of the Minnesota senators? Not to mention the fact that there were a couple elected conservative politicians who were very publicly disrespectful as hell after, but please try and do the whole both sides need to be nice thing.

    5. he died in a way he would have wanted for others. to call it an attack on “champions of freedom” is pretty silly when one of the freedoms he fought so hard for is the one that took his life. if it were someone else, he would’ve thought it was worth it.

    6. They live a different reality. One where they are simultaneously the authority, victims, and culpable of nothing. The things they admonish are never committed by them. Not what they do. Not what they say.
