damn fired for accurately reporting who charlie kirk was and what he stood for? absolute bullshit from the network

    2. MSNBC caves into the pressure. Sad truth is if they didn’t do this Trump and his government would have come down HARD. Remember, he has full power. He can do what he wants.

But man I’m so tired of having to be the grown up party. I’ve seen more about Charlie Kirk being killed than I did any school child that got killed, the Minnesota Senator/her husband/and dog being killed, etc.

Very unfortunate. His words are an opinion. The show he is in is not news, it’s opinion. Right? Apparently we only get one opinion shouted at us these days and it’s not one that speaks the truth about CK and his many and strong opinions.
Thoughts and prayers to CK obvs..

That’s literally a more factually accurate description of the deceased than 98% of other media have portrayed. What an Upsidedownland ass outcome that the truth is the one thing they despise. It would be funny if it wasn’t so repugnant.

    5. “Liberal” media is so disgusting. Fox News is talking about pogroms and you fire a dude for the most anodyne statement of all time.

    6. So are we supposed to develop amnesia all of a sudden and pretend Kirk was some kind of Mother Theresa figure? All the man did was sow division and spew vitriol.

Very concerning that an analyst would get fired for telling the truth on air…one of many steps in dismantling the media under a fascist regime.

This is outrageous, I won’t watch that channel anymore. What did he say that was wrong?

    8. Do they really think this way they’ll win over the right-wing crowd that already hates them? Naïve. Even if you fell to your knees and begged forgiveness because some guy shot that asshole, the right would just scream that you didn’t bow low enough—and that really, it’d be better to just start shooting leftists in the legs, just in case.

    9. It was not a fucking celebration, that was dumb, but Charlie Kirk was divisive, and like most of these right wing influencers, he was divisive because it paid big bucks and got them close to power.

Make guns harder to get so this can’t happen to anyone! There has been more coverage of this than school shootings that happen daily.

We really are in the Bad Place. Admittedly, I didn’t know who Charlie Kirk was until today but everything I’ve seen about him tells me that was a fact. Are we just supposed to lie about people because they’re dead?

Charlie Kirk’s TPUSA Teamed Up With a Registered Sex Offender

Amid scandal over Turning Point USA’s spending, Charlie Kirk is under fire from the right | Media Matters for America

ROLLING STONE: Turning Point USA CEO Charlie Kirk is cheerleading the far-right boycott of Target over the retailer’s Pride collection — which included trans-friendly youth apparel and other LGBTQ-positive gear — for what Kirk decries as “their support for grooming kids.”
Kirk’s condemnation of the retailer coincided with TPUSA’s second-annual Pastors Summit in Nashville, Tennessee, this past week, where Kirk also denounced Target, telling a crowd of hundreds of religious leaders: “If you love God, you must hate evil.”
Yet in delivering these fevered messages about morality and child welfare, Kirk had an odd benefactor, a man whose criminal history opens up TPUSA to charges of hypocrisy.
Rolling Stone has learned that one of the TPUSA summit’s corporate sponsors is a Christian fashion company that is led by a registered sex offender, Shawn Bergstrand, who served time in federal prison for attempted “coercion and enticement” after trying to persuade “a minor female” to “engage in sexual activity

🗣️🗣️🗣️Restore the Federal Assault Weapons Ban, a provision of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, which expired in 2004. Though a renewal bill was introduced in 2003, it failed to pass before the ban’s automatic 10-year sunset provision took effect.
Here’s a breakdown of the federal assault weapons ban and its expiration:
      * Passed in 1994: The ban was signed into law by President Bill Clinton in September 1994 as part of a larger crime bill.
      * Included a “sunset” clause: To secure enough votes, a compromise was reached that included a 10-year expiration date for the ban. This meant the law would automatically expire unless Congress voted to renew it.
      * Renewal attempt in 2003: Legislation was introduced in the 108th Congress, including the “Assault Weapons Ban and Law Enforcement Protection Act of 2003,” to renew and strengthen the law. However, Congress did not pass it.
      * Expired in 2004: The ban expired on September 13, 2004, and was not renewed by Congress at that time.
Result of expiration: After the ban lapsed, it became legal again to manufacture and sell the types of weapons and large-capacity magazines (holding more than 10 rounds) that had been prohibited.
✍️📝Note: There have been multiple attempts to reinstate the ban since it expired, but none have succeeded at the federal level. Some states have since passed their own assault weapons ban. While the US had a federal assault weapons ban from 1994 to 2004, *the number of mass shootings has seen a significant increase since its expiration*. Analyses show that mass shootings and related fatalities were lower during the ban and increased sharply after it lapsed, especially in incidents involving assault weapons or high-capacity magazines.
Mass shootings during and after the federal ban-Data from studies comparing the decades before, during, and after the ban show the following trends:
Before the ban (1966–1994): 55 public mass shootings.
During the ban (1995–2004): 34 public mass shootings.
After the ban expired (2005–2022): 95 public mass shootings.
The rise in mass shooting fatalities
Following the ban’s expiration, the average yearly death toll from mass shootings rose dramatically:
During the ban: An average of 4.8 deaths per year.
*After the ban expired*: An average of 23.8 deaths PER YEAR between 2004 and 2017.
Increased lethality of mass shootings-The lethality of mass shootings, particularly those involving assault weapons, has also increased since the ban expired:
Assault weapons: Between 2015 and 2022, mass shootings with four or more fatalities that used an assault weapon resulted in twice as many people killed and six times as many people shot per incident.
Higher-capacity magazines: Incidents with high-capacity magazines result in 155% more people shot and 47% more people killed compared to incidents without them.

As of August 31, 2025, there have been *309 mass shootings in the United States, resulting in 302 deaths and 1,354 injuries.*

“I think empathy is a made up New Age term that does a lot of damage.” -Charlie Kirk

    14. Literally no one can say he wasn’t divisive and hasn’t spent years peddling violent rhetoric and hate speech.

Guy wanted some “patriot” to bail out Paul Pelosi’s attacker after he tried to murder Paul.

    15. Meanwhile, children who weren’t bickering about politics were shot today in Colorado while trying to exist & learn.
