Ed Sheeran Clarifies His Plans About Moving to the U.S. | E! News

Well, it turns out Ed Sharon isn’t going to be calling America home after all. Following the singer revealing his plans to relocate stateside, Ed is now clarifying that the move won’t be permanent. Writing on his Instagram story September 9th, “Way easier to clear up stuff on here. So, here’s me setting records straight cuz there’s defo and narrative press are trying to push that people want to move out of UK for some reason.” The Grammy winner, who shares daughters 5-year-old Lyra and three-year-old Jupiter with wife Cherry Seabor, then explains why his family will only be staying temporarily in the United States, saying, “I’m not moving. I’m going on tour with my family and relocating to the continent I’m touring on. Don’t want to commute from London to San Diego.” Ed then shuts down any speculation that going across the pond is somehow money motivated. Writing, “Also, this isn’t a tax thing. It’s the USA, not the UAE. I’ll always pay tax in the UK cuz that’s where I live.” This clarification from the 34year-old comes shortly after he went viral for making comments about moving to America on the Two Johnny’s podcast September 9th. Actually, yeah, I’m just about to move to America. I’m just Yeah, I’m I feel like I’m I might be the only person moving to America. Are you properly? Yeah. Well, I’m going on tour there for a while. Um so yeah, I and I have a family, so I can’t like dip in and out. We’re going we’re going and settling there. [Music]
