Big Little Lies Season 3 Officially in the Works: Everything to Know | E! News

Big Little Lies is returning to our screens. Here’s what we know about season 3. According to Variety, Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-creator Francesca Sloan is set to write the first episode of the new season. An executive produced the entirety of the third season. This comes as Mr. and Mrs. Smith season 2 has been delayed indefinitely. Big Little Eyes debuted in 2017 and was originally intended to be a limited series. The show has won many awards in its time with an Emmy for best limited series. Nicole Kidman winning best actress in a limited series and Laura Durn taking home the title for best supporting actress in a limited series. Much of the cast returned for the second season with Meil Stre joining in the role of Mary Louise Wright. And although we now know for sure the new series will be happening back in 2024, Shayen Woodley had some thoughts on the series’s possible return. I ran into Nicole Kidman a few months ago and I was like, “So, what’s the” And she’s like, “It’s happening.” I was like, “It is. It’s happening.” Yeah. She’s like, “Yeah.” Like, “But when when why how?” So, you know that it is happening, but I mean, I think so, but we’ve also heard it’s been happening for a while. So, I think it’s it’s a lot of people with a lot of schedules and our beautiful director from season 1 passed away and that was really hard for everyone. So, I think the whole experience has been a little bit one of trying to find all the right pieces to come together. [Music]
