JB Pritzker on the Trump administration’s immigration policy: “Do you carry with you citizenship papers? How do you prove to somebody that you’re a US citizen? Your accent? The color or your skin? That’s not the country we live in. You shouldn’t have to walk around with papers like Nazi Germany.”

Based on what ICE is doing it doesn’t matter if you have your papers on you anyway.
If you’re the wrong color they’re taking you in anyways.
I carry my American passport everywhere I go because I have an accent, I’m black and disabled. I use to love the freedom I felt going places in this country compared to my birth country and now it’s scary. I feel like I’m in an alternate dimension.
When I went to Russia for a month in 2005, we got hassled by the cops to show our papers. Thing was, the hotel TOOK our passports and locked ’em up. Cops knew this and wanted bribes.
Since Trump is a Russian ally, this all tracks.
The supreme court sided with this insidious government that they can discriminate based on skin color, so expect this to get much worse for all POCs.
100 fucking percent the truth. It is scary to think what this country will be if we stay on this path.
I truly hope he runs and wins the presidency in 2028. He is exactly what we need.
