A neighbour of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle over in the US has revealed what it’s like living near the royal couple since they ditched the UK for sunny California. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have lived in their American mansion with their two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, since they left their royal duties behind in 2020.
Since their relocation to the US five years ago, not much has emerged about the Sussexes’ home life, other than small snippets that have featured in their Netflix docuseries and Meghan’s lifestyle show.
However, several of their neighbours have given some insight into the lives of the royals. One of these is local correspondent Richard Mineards, who resides near the couple in Montecito, California, reports the Express.
Richard previously revealed to The Telegraph that Harry is often spotted strolling along the shoreline solo, cycling, or occasionally venturing out for meals, though invariably with his protection team in tow.
He also claimed that Meghan prefers maintaining a discreet presence, but, unlike her husband, she is more frequently observed enjoying meals with friends or browsing neighbourhood markets.

He told the publication: ”The community is waiting for them. They’re gnashing at the bit. The cachet of a Duke and Duchess. They live rather splendidly, it couldn’t be a nicer place.
“We have got a lot of very rich and very famous people here, and none of them have a security retinue like the Sussexes.”
Richard additionally told Ici Paris that a local historian purportedly attempted to present Meghan with a documentary about the region in 2020, but was refused access.
He revealed: “There was even this anecdote of an elderly neighbour who wanted to give her a documentary he had made on local history. The old man never got past the gate.”
Speaking more about Meghan, he continued: “She cultivates a very controlled image. She pays attention to every appearance, every word, every gesture. And here in Montecito, we appreciate simple people, even famous ones.
“Oprah Winfrey, for example, shows up at charity events. Meghan doesn’t play the community game.”
In other Harry and Meghan news, the Duke recently came to the UK and met with his father the King.
Prince Harry took a four-day visit to Britain, completing a string of charitable commitments and enjoying a 55-minute private afternoon tea with his alienated father.
Whilst Harry has established his existence in California following their departure from the Firm in 2020, the Duke of Sussex has persisted in dedicating his efforts to his humanitarian work across the globe.
Following the completion of his final commitment in London on Thursday, Harry then embarked on an unexpected journey to Ukraine to encounter veterans from the conflict-ravaged nation and provide his assistance regarding rehabilitation for those severely wounded in the prolonged conflict engulfing the country.
